Events  Italy Independence Day02-07-2008 «Ashtarak-Kat» CJSC visited the embassy of Italy in Armenia and extended its heartiest congratulations. During the evolution of the process that would finally have brought to the Italian Unification (Risorgimento), the Italian Independence wars were three wars fought against Austria between 1848 and 1866 and ended with the conquest of the whole Italian territory. The expression usually also indicates related minor conflicts and campaigns, like 1860's campaigns. The influence of nationalism in the struggle for Italian independence has often been overstated. The final result is that Italy is a powerful country each year celebrating its Independence Day. Italian National Day also known as La Festa Della Repubblica commemorates the establishment of a republican democracy in Italy on June 2, 1948. The event stands to celebrate and promote Italian culture. The Italian National Day celebration is organized by the Alliance of Italian American Associations and is attended by many prominent city men and state officials.
