”Ashtarak-Kat” CJSC congratulated the ambassador of Ukraine in Armenia Aleksandr Bozhko with Revolution Day. Today Ukraine is celebrating the 17th anniversary of its independence. This holiday is being celebrated from 1991, when on the 24th of August the Highest Rada adopted the declaration about the independence of Ukraine.The history of Ukraine begins from the foundation day of the State of Kiev in the 9th century. After the decadence of the Republic and consequently after its collapse into small principalitiesin the 17th century the Cossack-hetman State was founded, which survived till the end of 18th century, after which up to the 20th century the independent Ukraine Republic didn’t exist. Only in 1991 on the 24th of August the Highest Rada of Ukraine USSR proclaimed Ukraine independent, democratic State and submitted “Act of adoption of the independence of Ukraine” to the confirmation of all-Ukrainian referendum on the 1st of December 1991 in Kiev. For the celebration of the holiday every year solemn ceremonies are organized, which certainly conclude with fireworks.
