Today in the small concert hall of A. Xachaturyan, the representative of “Ashtarak-Kat” CJSC had the honor to congratulate the great Armenian composer Robert Amirkhanyan with his 69th birthday anniversary. The creative work of Amirkhanyan is considered a master copy of Armenian musical life; his songs gave fame to many stars of Armenian and Russian variety performer. Immortal musical compositions «Երազ իմ երկիր հայրենի» (My fairy-tale homeland) and «Հայի աչեր» (Armenian eyes) serve a basis of national identity for many Armenians. Wherever he appears with concerts, everywhere music of Amirkhanyan invokes feelings of nostalgia and spiritual harmony, people leave concert hall with tears on the eyes.The same happened and for this time. After the composer, in his own words, treated his dear guests with music, Robert Amirkhanyan as a real hospitable master inquired whether everybody is satisfied and pleased. The reward was loud and persistent applauses and of course, tears on the eyes of listeners, who were “satisfied with music”. Merits and talent of Robert Amirxanyan were appreciated from soviet times yet, and in today Armenia he was awarded with order of Mesrop Mashtots and title of National artist.
