Tatev Monastery
“The old architect built his last temple
putting his heart and soul into the stone,
he engraved laces of the khachckars …
and finally finishing his work he pleaded God: “Ta – tev”.
Thus he wanted to look over the creation of his own hands
and the fruit of his own ideas,
but his legs weakened and he pled God for a pair of wings.
In another instant he flew high.
Thenceforth the Tatev monastery
inspires everyone with hope,...
